Loaves and Fishes Ministry

Anyone who feels called to participate in this ministry is invited to phone or e-mail the project coordinator, Dave Turner.

This ministry aims to support those members of our Church experiencing hardship as a result of a temporary loss of income generating capacity, making it difficult or even impossible for the breadwinner to make ends meet. The principle is based on "caring through sharing" and in line with 1 John 3:18 "… let us not love with words or tongue but with action and truth".

The support takes the form of the delivery of a consignment of groceries to the distressed in order to ease the burden of providing the "daily bread" for the family or direct dependents over a period of time.

Confidential channels of access to the ministry are available through the following communication channels:

Communion

Graham Fryer takes communion to those who are unable to attend worship services.

Social Events

A committee organises several social functions each year.

Keep an eye on the calendar for the next attraction as we regularly arrange functions for the senior members of our congregation as well as the broader community.

We arrange to fetch residents from surrounding retirement centres. Our seniors are important to us and we want to make sure that they are included in times of fellowship and celebration.

Hospital Visits

If you are ill or know someone who would like to be visited due to illness, please speak to Pietro or Graham to arrange a visit.
